Teacher Recommendation Form: Click here.
The Young Women's Leadership Academy is a rigorous, college-preparatory secondary school (grades 6-12) for young women who are ambitious in their educational goals and who are dedicated to learning and growing academically and in their leadership capacity. Young women across Bexar County who fit this description are encouraged to apply for admission into our program.
Aside from submitting an online application, all students applying for admission into the Young Women's Leadership Academy must also submit two teacher recommendations using our campus template, found here. Teachers who complete recommendation forms must have taught the student within the last three years.
Students will be notified of next steps in the application process after February 8, 2019.
For parents who have a daughter hoping to attend YWLA who is a sibling of a current YWLA student, please specify so on the SchoolMint application.
We encourage any and all parents and daughters to attend one of our informational sessions to learn more about the model, application process, and successes of our program. Each of these informational sessions will take place on campus in our auditorium from 6-7 PM. The dates for these sessions are listed below. Please arrive on time.
