Hello... my name is Sophia Gonzalez and I've been teaching since 1996.  I am happy to say that I am a proud product of SAISD!  

     As an SAISD student, I attended Highland Park Elementary, Poe Middle School and graduated from Highlands High School... Go Owls!

     I decided to stay here in San Antonio to go to college and graduated from St. Mary's University with my B.A. in Education with a specialization in Reading (of course) and received my Master's Degree from the University of the Incarnate Word!  Go Rattlers & Cardinals!

     I am happily married and I have one son (Alfonso), who is also a student at YMLA.  I have a cat named Barney and a dog named Max.  

     I enjoy reading, traveling, watching sports (Spurs & Texans), going to the movies, listening to music, and spending time with my family & friends.
