Welcome students and parents. This is my teacher web page. I pray that you and your families are keeping your health and sanity. During this challenging time of quarantining, we are all encountering a number of hardships and it me be difficult to see the silver linings and blessings that these social restrictions bring. I really miss teaching in my classroom and engaging with students. However, I take it as a blessing to be able to be with my family and know that they are safe and healthy.

Science and engineering are my favorite topics and I enjoy teaching Biology at CAST Med High Sschool. Biology is the study of LIFE! In our class, students learn about cells, DNA, diseases like cancer and diabetes, genetics, evolution, animal and plant systems, ecosystems, and biomes of the Earth. We also learn about how life and nature (living and non-living) are tied together.

In our new virtual learning environment, a large portion of our daily classwork (notes, labs, and activities) will be found in our Google classroom. Pearson (our online textbook) will be used to communicate assignments, access text reading, and take weekly quizzes. Unit tests will also be administered online and students must participate by logging in and taking each test at the assigned time. Please communicate any questions or concerns through email.
