Monica Galvan is a 3rd generation Texas educator. She has been teaching since 2003 at the higher ed (college) level. She taught English 1301 & 1302. She has been teaching at the high school level since 2014 where she taught English I & III. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University - Kingsville where she graduated with her M.A. in English and B.A. in Communications (Speech).
The AVID program was created to help "all" students build foundational skills necessary to succeed in any post high school college or vocational program.
