My name is Sandy Pastrano, and I teach the Education and Training courses at Highlands High School. The courses in the pathway are as follows:  Principles of Education and Training, Human Growth and Development, Instructional Practices, and Practicum in Education. This is my 5th year teaching at Highlands High School. The student organization associated with this pathway is TAFE--Texas Association of Future Educators.  As a member of TAFE, students can compete in educational competitions at the regional, state, and national level! As a Junior and Senior, students have the opportunity to get real world experience interning at nearby elementary schools as part of their coursework.
