Dear Families,

We are writing to inform you of an incident that occurred this morning. We received a report of an individual in the area who was trying to speak to children through the school’s fence. We immediately alerted both SAPD and our own officers, and the individual left the vicinity.

We appreciate our students and staff who reported the situation so that we could swiftly and safely work with law enforcement to address it.

Student safety is a top priority at SAISD schools, and we want to keep families informed of situations as soon as we are able. We thank you for your support and understanding.

Les escribimos para informarles de un incidente que ha ocurrido esta mañana cerca de nuestro campus. Recibimos un informe sobre una persona en la zona que intento hablar con los estudiantes a través de la cerca. Inmediatamente advertimos tanto a la policía de San Antonio como a nuestros propios agentes, y la persona fue retirada de las inmediaciones.

Agradecemos a nuestros estudiantes y personal que nos alertaron sobre la situación para que pudiéramos trabajar de manera rápida y segura con las fuerzas del orden para abordarla.

La seguridad de los estudiantes es máxima prioridad en las escuelas de SAISD y queremos mantener a las familias informadas en cuanto a situaciones tan pronto como se pueda. Les agradecemos su apoyo y comprensión.

Good Morning Families, This morning we recorded 61 tardies. by 8 am with more still coming in after. That number is concerning and requires our immediate attention as a school community. Please remember that the tardy bell rings promptly at 7:50 a.m. Students must be in their classrooms and ready to begin instruction at that time. Arriving after 7:50 results in a tardy and disrupts the learning environment—not only for your child, but for the entire class. Morning instruction is critical, and lost minutes quickly add up to lost learning opportunities. We also want to remind you that tardies impact perfect attendance eligibility and may affect participation in certain school events and celebrations. Attendance expectations include both being present and being on time. We need your partnership to ensure students arrive on campus early enough to transition smoothly to class before the 7:50 bell. Please plan for traffic, weather, and drop-off time so your child can start the day successfully. Thank you for your continued support in helping us protect instructional time and maintain high expectations for all students.

To help us ensure a safe and smooth arrival and dismissal for all students, please keep the following reminders in mind: • 🚍 Please do not park in the bus loop during arrival and dismissal. • ⏰ The tardy bell rings at 7:50 AM. • If your child arrives after 7:50, please go to the front entrance, walk your child inside, and sign them in for a tardy pass. • 🪪 For dismissal, please bring your car card or a valid photo ID every day to pick up your child. Thank you for your cooperation and continued support in keeping our campus safe and running smoothly!

Dear Families, Today our attendance was at 80%, and we truly appreciate everyone who made the effort to have students present. Our goal is 93% attendance, and every student counts! We encourage you to please send your child to school tomorrow at the regular time. Our building is nice and warm, and we are ready to welcome our students for a great day of learning. Thank you for your continued support!
