Laura Hernández-López
Hello, I’m Laura Hernández-López, the proud principal of Charles Graebner Elementary. I’ve spent 22 years in the field of education working as an Instructional Assistant, Bilingual Teacher, Bilingual Instructional Coach, Bilingual/ESL Facilitator, and Assistant Principal. I look forward to starting my 4th year as a campus principal and eager to welcome all students and families.
I'm a proud product of SAISD and a graduate of Sidney Lanier High School. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish/Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. I consider myself a lifelong learner and live by the philosophy my parents instilled in me at a young age: Education is the key to success.
As a servant leader, I’m driven by my passion to serve students, families, and staff by providing the best high-quality education. I'm eager to continue strengthening the relationships between our school and community by creating a collaborative school environment that nurtures a love for learning. Graebner is truly the place, Where the Magic Begins....
During my free time, I enjoy reading, going to college football games, traveling to Mexico, and spending time with my family.

Hola, soy Laura Hernández-López, directora de Charles Graebner Elementary. He pasado 22 años en el campo de la educación trabajando como asistente de instrucción, maestra bilingüe, entrenadora de instrucción bilingüe, facilitadora bilingüe / ESL y subdirectora. Estoy emocionada por empezar mi cuarto año como directora del campus y muy entusiasmada por dar la bienvenida a todos los estudiantes y familias.
Soy un producto orgulloso de SAISD y graduada de Sidney Lanier High School. Cuento con una Licenciatura en Español/Psicología de Our Lady of the Lake University y una Maestría en Educación en Liderazgo Educativo de Concordia University. Me considero una aprendiz perenne y vivo según la filosofía que mis padres me inculcaron a una edad temprana: La educación es la clave del éxito.
Como líder servicial, me impulsa mi pasión por servir a los estudiantes, las familias y al personal, brindando la mejor educación de alta calidad. Estoy entusiasmada por continuar fortaleciendo las relaciones entre nuestra escuela y la comunidad mediante la creación de un ambiente escolar colaborativo que fomente el amor por el aprendizaje. Durante mi tiempo libre, disfruto leer, ir a partidos de fútbol americano de la universidad, viajar a México y pasar tiempo con mi familia.
