Dress Code Policy 2023-2024
Woodlawn Academy will follow the updated SAISD dress code: students have the option for free dress or can continue to wear uniforms.
For safety reasons and in addition to the guidelines outlined by the district, students will follow these guidelines:
Shoes
Bottoms
- Jean holes can be no higher than fingertip length with hands at side
- Short/skirt can be no shorter than fingertip length with hands at side
- Pajama pants not permitted
- No undergarments can be visible
Tops
- Cover chest
- Cover mid-drift and must touch the top of the waist band with arms raised
Other:
- No see-through clothing

- No images or language depicting drugs or alcohol (or any illegal item or activity) or any other substance prohibited under FNCF(LEGAL) including:
- Hate speech;
- Profanity;
- Pornography;
- Images or language that creates a hostile or intimidating environment base don any protected class or consistently marginalized groups;
- Violent language or images;
- Any clothing that reveals visible undergarments (waistbands and straps excluded)
- Swimsuits (except as required in class, field trips, or athletic practice);
- Accessories that could be considered dangerous or could be used as a weapon; and/or
- Any item that obscures the face or ears (except as a religious observance)
Administration will make determination of inappropriateness based on the criteria.
Violations
Violations will result in parent/guardian phone call requesting a change of clothes.
