Welcome back, students and parents!
Let's get connected and start learning from home.
It's as easy as 1, 2, 3!
1. Set up your student's device at home. If you need a device or hotspot, give us a call at 210-978-7965
2. Have your student log in to ClassLink with their SAISD username and password by visiting link.saisd.net or clicking on the image below. This is also known as the SAISD Single Sign-On (SSO). This is where we have Canvas and all our digital learning resources. If your student has been enrolled in SAISD before, this is the same information they have used to log in. If you don't know your student's username and password, call us at 210-978-7965.
(Note: From ClassLink, you can access class schedules by clicking the backpack icon.
3. From the ClassLink homepage, click on the Canvas icon to view and manage class information. For trainings and resources on Canvas, visit www.saisd.net/canvas. If the Canvas icon does not appear when your student logs in to ClassLink, call the Technology Help Desk at (210) 244-2929 for support.

Welcome to Carroll Early Childhood Education Center. I am honored to serve as the Principal for Carroll Early Childhood Center, in partnership with HighScope. Together, with Tynan Early Childhood Center, we form HighScope's San Antonio Hub of Excellence and serve as one of The HighScope Research Foundation's arms of practice for the HighScope Curriculum. I have been in education for 17 years in San Antonio ISD, beginning my career as a bilingual teacher for 7 years at Douglass Academy, serving as the Early Childhood Bilingual Educational Specialist with the ECE Department for 8 years, and I’m excited to start my 3rdyear at Carroll ECE.
Here at Carroll our staff works to create a happy and nurturing environment where you and your child feel welcome, accepted, loved, and respected. Carroll is a school that incorporates HighScope’s 5 Ingredients of Active Learning in our planning and delivery of instruction to ensure high quality learning experiences for our students. We are committed to providing a safe and nurturing learning environment while developing problem solvers and critical thinkers through play. We provide creative and flexible learning spaces, such as a vegetable garden, yoga room, science labs, a kitchen classroom, a river garden, and a mud kitchen in order to create hands-on and engaging learning experiences for your child. Our walls are filled with interactive, hands-on materials and you will often find our children singing as they travel from one place to another in our school. Every detail of our school environment focuses on the development of your child, since the early years are the most important foundation for their academic success. At HighScope's San Antonio Hub of Excellence, we are on a mission to close the opportunity-gap through high-quality early childhood education. Read all about our journey through the end of last school year, as well as our plans for this school year, in the article below!
While we know this year will look a little different than it has in the past, there are some things that will remain the same. Once SAISD begins face-to-face instruction, student drop-off time will be at 7:00 a.m. and the bell will ring at 7:30. Drop off for our Pre- K students will be available on Schumacher Street. Drop off for Kindergarten through 2nd grade students will be available in the front of the E Building located on Holmgreen St. Late arrivals will be signed in at the office and be walked to their class by a member of our staff.
We look forward to learning with you this 2020 - 2021 school year! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
