Menand's observation captures my fascination with words and the reason for my passion for teaching English. I love reading, writing, and reading and writing about reading and writing. My hope is that when my students complete this year they will have developed their own love and respect for the power of this ever evolving technology that we call language. 

I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and my master's degree from the University of Incarnate Word. The 2018-2019 academic year is my ninth at Sam Houston.

My office hours are Wednesday 4:30 to 5: 30 p.m. I also am available in the mornings and after school by appointment. My conference is seventh period.
