Welcome to the Ms.Cano's Spanish class! This 2019-2020 school year I will be teaching Spanish 1. I graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word with a bachelors in Spanish education. After many years I am proud to be back home. As a Highlands High School graduate I am very thankful for the opportunity to be back with my community, however this time in a different role. I am excited and ready to work with our future generation.

In Spanish 1, students will learn the basics of the language. From vocabulary, pronunciation and an introduction to writing and reading. With the growth of Hispanic population in the city, the importance of being bilingual grows daily. Knowing Spanish will open many opportunities to students in the future. I hope every student takes the opportunity they are given, in their education, to learn as much as possible. Lets start speaking español!

I will be updating information frequently to maintain students informed of how we will proceed with our learning. Please make sure you check back regularly.
