Dress Code

 

Campus will follow Dress Code-Comprehensive Schools 6th-12th. CLICK HERE to visit the SAISD Dress Code website.

All students are required to wear their Highlands HS Student ID card lanyard. This should be visible at all times. Student's advisory teacher (1st period) can assist with any questions. Replacement IDs will have a small fee. Temporary IDs are available in the main office for a small fee. Students can get a replacement ID from Room 1111 AFTER SCHOOL.

 

Middle and High School Campuses:

  • A shirt, with fabric that touches the waistband in the front, back, and sides under the arms.
  • Pants/jeans or the equivalent (skirt, sweatpants, leggings, a dress, shorts) free of rips that expose skin above fingertip length or undergarments. Shorts, dresses, and skirts must be fingertip length.
  • Shoes.

 

All campuses:
The district prohibits pictures, emblems, or writing on clothing that:

  • Are lewd, offensive, vulgar or obscene
  • Advertise or depict tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, drugs, or any other substance prohibited under board policy FNCF (LEGAL)
  • Depict gang-related attire

 

Appropriate footwear must be worn. Prohibited footwear includes:

  • Footwear with toes reinforced with steel, hard plastics, or similar materials.
  • Flip Flops, beach sandals, or other open-toed shoes that do not have straps to secure them.

Backpacks

Students may bring a backpack of any color or type if it does not display lewd, offensive, vulgar, or obscene language or images. The backpack cannot display language or images of tobacco products, alcohol, drugs, or any other prohibited substance under board policy FNCF (LEGAL), or any language or image that is gang-related.
